TO REQUEST AN ASSESSMENT
You must create an account with Officials Management System (OMS) and be logged in to request an assessment. There are two basic types of assessments, Developmental and Upgrade/Maintenance. Before you submit a request, if you know the assignment info and it's not in the district you live in, be prepared to share that detailed info since it will impact the availability of the potential mentors or coaches.
For a developmental assessment request you will be charged $70 by OMS. Your request then flows to the DAA (District Assessment Administrator). The DAA then checks availability of Mentors and Coaches. If the game you want to be assessed on is outside the district you live in, the DAA may forward your request to the DAA that the game is closer to. You can't request a specific Mentor or Coach. Whichever one if offered and accepts the assignment of assessment will contact you.
A Upgrade or Maintenance assessment is normally only for Regional Referees or Regional Candidates. Those cost $100 each and also must be paid for ahead of time through OMS. The DAA and/or the SDA will be involved in setting those up. Again, if you are a Regional referee or candidate you should know in advance all the details on the game.
