PREREQUISITES TO BECOME A REGIONAL REFEREE

ENROLLMENT

25 GAMES AS A REFEREE AND 15 AS AN ASSISTANT REFEREE AT THE LOCAL/NATIONAL  AFFILIATED ADULT AMATEUR LEVEL *2

PREVIOUS CERTIFICATION EXPERIENCE*

MINIMUM OF THREE (3) YEARS AS GRASSROOTS REFEREE *3

TRAINING

REGIONAL REFEREE COURSE

STATE CONCUSSION TRAINING

SMALL SIDED GAMES TRAINING

SAFETY AND COMPLIANCE

SAFESPORT TRAINED

STATE BACKGROUND CHECK

LAWS OF THE GAME TEST

ONLINE - REGIONAL TEST

FITNESS TEST

SPRINT / INTERVAL TESTS *5

(USSF REGIONAL REFEREE TEST)

PRACTICAL EVALUATION

MINIMUM OF THREE (3) PASSING EVALUATIONS AS A REFEREE AT THE ADULT AMATEUR LEVEL.*4   

 

*1 MUST BE 18 PRIOR TO REQUEST FOR UPGRADE

*2 MUST HAVE GAME COUNTS VALIDATED PRIOR TO UPGRADE REQUEST

*3 MUST HAVE 3 YEARS IN GRADE PRIOR TO REQUEST FOR UPGRADE

*4 EACH ASSESSMENT MUST BE COMPLETED BY A DIFFERENT REGIONAL/STATE

     MENTOR (1 GAME ONLY) STATE COACH OR NATIONAL COACH, ALL MUST BE APPROVED BY MISSOURI. 

     ALL GAMES MUST BE USSF AFFILIATED ADULT, 90 MIN AND 11 V 11.  ONE (1) GAME CAN BE THE MOST COMPETITIVE AFFILIATED U-19+ YOUTH LEVEL.

     INCOMPLETE, ABANDONED OR TERMINATED GAMES CAN NOT COUNT

*5  FITNESS TEST MUST BE UNDER SRC IN MISSOURI, OR PRE-APPROVED BY MISSOURI SRA/SDA TO COUNT

 

Initially contact your DRA to submit your required game history.  Remember only full 90 minute adult games can count for upgrade.  All games must be 3 man, USSF affiliated to count.
