PREREQUISITES TO BECOME A REGIONAL REFEREE

ENROLLMENT

REGISTRATION

AGE*

18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER *1

PREVIOUS GAME EXPERIENCE*

50 GAMES AS A REFEREE AND 25 AS AN ASSISTANT REFEREE AT THE LOCAL ADULT AMATEUR LEVEL *2

PREVIOUS CERTIFICATION EXPERIENCE*

MINIMUM OF THREE (3) YEARS AS GRASSROOTS REFEREE *3

TRAINING

REGIONAL REFEREE COURSE

STATE CONCUSSION TRAINING

SMALL SIDED GAMES TRAINING

SAFETY AND COMPLIANCE

SAFESPORT TRAINED

STATE BACKGROUND CHECK

LAWS OF THE GAME TEST

ONLINE - REGIONAL TEST

FITNESS TEST

SPRINT / INTERVAL TESTS

(USSF REGIONAL REFEREE TEST)

PRACTICAL EVALUATION

MINIMUM OF TWO (2) PASSING EVALUATIONS AS A REFEREE AT THE ADULT AMATEUR LEVEL.  ONE (1) PASSING EVALUATION AS AN ASSISTANT REFEREE AT THE ADULT AMATEUR LEVEL.  ONE REFEREE EVALUATION CAN BE AT THE HIGHEST YOUTH LEVEL. (18-19 or older) *4

 

*1 MUST BE 18 PRIOR TO REQUEST FOR UPGRADE

*2 MUST HAVE GAME COUNTS VALIDATED PRIOR TO UPGRADE REQUEST

*3 MUST HAVE 3 YEARS IN GRADE PRIOR TO REQUEST FOR UPGRADE

*4 EACH ASSESSMENT MUST BE COMPLETED BY A DIFFERENT STATE

     ASSESSOR OR NATIONAL COACH APPROVED BY MISSOURI. 

     ALL GAMES MUST BE ADULT, 90 MIN AND 11 V 11.

     INCOMPLETE, ABANDONED OR TERMINATED GAMES CAN NOT COUNT

 

Contact your DRA initially to submit your required game history.  Remember only full 90 minute adult games can count for upgrade.
